Dolly's Favorite
Coffee Cake Muffins
Warm, moist coffee cake muffins swirled with cinnamon and topped with streusel topping and a drizzle glaze.
you will need:
- 1 pkg Duncan Hines Dolly Parton’s Cinnamon Swirl Crumb Cake & Muffin Mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can chopped peaches, optional
- 1 container Duncan Hines Dolly Parton's Creamy Buttercream Frosting
STREUSEL TOPPING
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Glaze
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
DO NOT EAT RAW BATTER.
1. Prep
Preheat oven to 375°F. Place paper liners in 12 muffin cups. Pour cake mix into large bowl. Pour cinnamon mix into small bowl.
2. Mix
Stir eggs, milk, and ½ c. melted butter with cake mix in large bowl until well blended. *For an optional twist, stir in chopped peaches!
To make streusel, stir 2 tbsp. melted butter into small bowl with cinnamon mix until well blended. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of batter into each of the 12 muffin cups, then sprinkle with streusel (using about half of the streusel topping across the 12 muffins). Scoop remaining batter on top of each muffin and top each evenly with remaining streusel topping.
3. Bake
Bake 18 to 21 minutes, until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
4. Glaze
Whisk confectioners’ sugar, milk, and vanilla together in small bowl. Drizzle glaze over muffins and serve.
